As Presbyterians, we believe that Christ rules his church by ordained officers, particularly Pastors, Ruling Elders, and Deacons. While both Pastors and Ruling Elders serve in the ministry of ruling God's church, Pastors are specifically ordained by God to the ministry of the Word. Deacons come alongside the Pastors and Elders to serve the needs of the congregation.
